d2i’s 1st generation BI solution has been used for numerous clinical research papers that have been published.

d2i’s leadership has won several awards, been featured in dozens of technology and health care articles, and referenced in main stream media news stories.

d2i is featured in Cindi Howson’s book Successful Business Intelligence: Secrets to Making BI a Killer App published by McGraw-Hill Osborne Media (November 26, 2007), as well as her second edition follow up published by McGraw-Hill in early 2014. 

d2i was selected as the runner up in the New Jersey Technology Council’s annual Mid-Atlantic Innovators competition in the fall of 2010.

d2i  was selected by Blueprint Health, a startup accelerator program in NYC, to participate in its second “class” in July of 2012.  Blueprint Health is a charter member of the Global Accelerator Network that was started by TechStars.  In 2014, Blueprint Health was named by Fast Company as a Top Ten Health Care Innovator.

In October, 2014, d2i raised capital from a group of private investors.






Scott Richards

Scott has 30 years of experience in health care. He is an operations and information technology innovator and change agent. Scott's diverse background in health care spans accounting, consulting, project management, information technologies, product development, business process transformation, and operations. He has worked with most of the health care industry's stakeholders to successfully identify, plan and implement solutions that blend processes and technologies to transform business operations, enhance patient care, and launch new initiatives.

As d2i's CEO, Scott focuses on product strategy, business development, sales and marketing, business administration, and its corporate and services infrastructure. He also participates in client relationship management.

Prior to launching d2i, Scott was the President and COO of a multi-site retail clinic company he incubated and spun off from its parent company. He served as the Chief Transformation Officer and CIO for a $120MM diversified, multi-entity health care specialty provider and services organization; Director for a $1.2B University Health System's Information Services Division; principal in a health care informatics consulting firm he co-founded; and Director of Operations for a health care information systems company.


Jonathan Rothman

Jonathan has 22 years of hands-on experience developing operational and business intelligence solutions for health care companies. He is a sought after subject matter expert in data architecting and business intelligence. Jonathan assisted the CDC and Department of Defense to build the chief complaint and diagnostic logic used in its Syndromic Surveillance analytics.

As d2i's CTO, Jonathan focuses on product strategy, architecture, and development as well as new site start up, ongoing support and client relationship management. 

Jonathan was previously the Director of Data Management for a $120MM diversified, multi-entity health care specialty provider, where he architected and managed its Business Intelligence solution. He is an active member of the HIMSS MEPI subcommittee on Business Intelligence. Jonathan has been published in numerous books and articles on health care BI, and has won or been nominated for national awards in the area of BI innovation specific to Emergency Medicine.

Howard Goldstein

Cortlandt Private Capital advises and invests in small to medium sized companies in the areas of consumer, retail distribution, restaurants and food service, health and wellness, computer software and hardware, telecom, internet, healthcare services, biotech, and medical devices.  He is also a Co-Founder and an Operating Partner of Vedanta Capital, a diversified Venture Capital investment firm. Prior to that he worked for 22 years as a General Partner of Invesco Private Capital (and its predecessor firms), a global private equity manager with over $2 billion in managed assets. He is a seasoned venture capitalist with over three decades of investment experience. 

Howard has also been very involved with community service. He is a board member and wish granter mentor of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley. Howard and his wife Neva were recipients of the chapter's Chris Greicius Award in 2012. He is also a member of the Audit and Finance Committee of the National Board of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of America and board member and vice president of The H.O.P.E. For Youth Foundation.  Howard has also served as a board member of the New York-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

Dr. Rosenberg oversees the care of more than 165,000 adult and child visits annually. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  Dr. Rosenberg also serves as Medical Director of Population Health at St. Josephs.

Currently, Dr. Rosenberg is past Chairman of the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Section of the American College of Emergency Medicine (ACEP); Chairman and Founder of the Palliative Medicine Section of ACEP; Board Member for ACEP; and a Board of Director and Past President of NJ chapter ACEP.  Dr. Rosenberg is principle author of the Geriatric Emergency Department Guidelines.  He has served as a consultant to NQF regarding Palliative medicine and worked with the American Geriatric Society to promote the Emergency Department as the hub of Geriatric Care.  He has written many articles and chapters on Emergency Department Innovations and has lectured internationally.  He has developed the acclaimed program called LSMA Life Sustaining Management and Alternatives. 

In 2014, Dr Rosenberg developed and an Emergency Medicine Acute Pain Management Fellowship program. His first fellow graduated in the spring of 2015.  In January of 2016 opened the nation’s first Alternatives to Opioids Program (ALTO).  This is a Multidisciplinary Acute pain management program that not only helps patients with painful conditions without using opioids but also helps those patient with drug dependency and addiction.

Mark Taffet

With over twenty years of experience as a corporate finance advisor and operating executive, Mr. Taffet sets the practical, hands-on tone characteristic of Mast Advisors, Inc. During his career, Mr. Taffet has represented domestic and international companies in strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, corporate sales, joint ventures, strategic investments, private equity and debt placements and management buy-outs. His clients include larger companies with middle-market transaction needs, public and private middle-market companies and private equity firms. Mr. Taffet’s areas of focus include chemicals, industrial materials, components and systems, food service, processing, distribution and retailing, technology and telecommunications.

Prior to founding Mast Advisors, Mr. Taffet held positions with Shearson, Oppenheimer, American Corporate Services, KPMG and, most recently, Fieldstone Private Capital Group. Mr. Taffet served as President and co-founder of BayMark Capital, an investment bank formed in a strategic alliance with KPMG. Mr. Taffet also served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Globe Foodservices Corporation, a New York area institutional foodservice provider.

Mr. Taffet received his BA from Sarah Lawrence College and his JD from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the International Law Journal. Mr. Taffet is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Ross Martinson

Ross Martinson is a director of six Martinson Ventures companies providing software and information services. He evaluates investment opportunities, and assists in due diligence.  Ross coordinates closings and leads exits for Martinson Ventures.

Ross is a General Partner for three current Edison Partners funds.  He is a director of two Edison portfolio companies. He previously served 15 other Edison companies as a director, including lead director and chairman roles.  Ross focuses on technology-enabled services for business applications and functions.  Ross has participated in many successful company sales.

Previously, Ross was Vice President with the securities firm of Kidder, Peabody.  His positions included Director of Financial Consulting and Director of Corporate Financial Management Information.  Earlier, Ross was Controller of two high growth start-up businesses, American Express Leasing and ABB Financial Services. He was Senior Auditor as a CPA with Arthur Andersen.

He served as an Advisory Board Member of the Private Equity CFO Association and the New Jersey Technology Council CFO Board.
