PRESS RELEASE (August 2023) — d2i, a leading provider of data analytic solutions for emergency medicine (EM) and hospital medicine (HM), is pleased to announce that its Executive Vice President of Business Development, Alan Eisman, has been elected to the board of directors of Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA).

EDPMA is a professional organization dedicated to advocacy, thought leadership, and education for emergency physician groups and the businesses that work with them. Its vision is to enhance quality patient care through operational excellence and financial stability. The group is an important voice in discussions with Congress, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, state-level decision-makers, and private payers.

Eisman joined d2i in 2018 as Executive Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for growth strategy, product messaging and positioning, and sales and marketing.  In 2019 he was named co-chair of EDPMA’s Practice Management Committee and was elected by his peers to serve with the esteemed physicians and healthcare professionals who constitute the 2023-2024 Board of Directors.

Eisman is a familiar face at EDPMA meetings and workshops, where he shares his passion for innovation and data-driven strategies to support the mission of EDPMA and emergency medicine generally.

Eisman has more than thirty years of experience in enterprise software, performance management, data analytics, and healthcare across the continuum of care. For the past five years, he has been laser-focused on helping emergency medicine respond to challenges by developing success models focused on value and new care delivery models enabled by data.

Of his election to the board, Eisman said:

“I am deeply honored to be elected to the EDPMA Board of Directors. I am passionate about EDPMA’s mission, and look forward to making meaningful contributions toward ensuring fair reimbursement, facilitating the shift towards value-based care, and addressing the critical issue of workforce burnout. EDPMA is an exceptional organization, and I am humbled to collaborate with the dedicated professionals who provide vital services to those in need.”

Scott Richards, d2i CEO added:

“Alan’s contributions to EDPMA are what earned him this appointment. d2i is proud of him and honored to have board representation. We are active in the emergency medicine specialty in many ways and draw a lot of our inspiration to serve the specialty from the passion, commitment, and energy of EDPMA’s leadership and members.”
