Information Availability 2018 Benchmarking Study
In order to address the changing landscape of Emergency Medicine’s role in the future of healthcare, as well as government regulations, Emergency Departments need timely access to actionable information they trust more than ever. In short, data needs to inform decision making and enable the necessary organizational collaboration to improve performance across a broad spectrum of areas including quality of patient care, service delivery, risk mitigation, and profitability.
A lack of relevant and accurate information can have a direct impact on operational efficiency, the cost per intervention, clinical workflow and ultimately, patient satisfaction. This study was designed to compare the availability of information in Emergency Departments across the U.S. and reveal the potential impact data availability has on Operations, Clinical Outcomes, Finance and Patient Satisfaction.
