PRESS RELEASE (April 2019) — To help improve quality and value for its hospital partners, Emergency Care Specialists (ECS) will integrate data and analytics solutions from New Jersey-based d2i at the 13 hospital sites it serves across central and western Michigan.
d2i’s Performance Analytics solution will enable quality and performance improvement (PI) processes across many domains, including operational, financial, quality, regulatory (MACRA/MIPS), and patient experience. d2i will identify opportunities to reduce practice variability and unnecessary utilization, optimize staff scheduling, and drive target programs such as reducing sepsis cases and opioid prescribing.
ECS will also use d2i’s solution to consolidate its revenue cycle and MIPS data acquisition, as well as its clinical operations performance analytics, providing a 360-degree balanced scorecard view for each site and provider.

We considered several options before selecting d2i, including low-cost, build-your-own solutions as well as larger BI vendors with more generalized offerings. In the end, other solutions were less proven in the EM space and required that we have an in-house, dedicated expert. The d2i solution was already vetted across hundreds of peer sites, was cost-effective, and its customer success program eliminated the need for an in-house technical expert.”
